Oklahoma City

One of the stops on Jenna's senior high chorus tour was Oklahoma City. We decided to go there to meet the chorus and take a vacation. One place we went to was the Oklahoma City bombing memorial. There were to big gates that said 9:01 and the other one said 9:03. This represents the time before and after the bombing. There was also a reflecting pool in between the two gates of time. It was a great experience and I had a lot of fun.

Survivor tree

This is a tree that actually survived the bombing. You can see that part of the tree is burnt but could still survive the bombing. The chorus also gathered near the tree and sang.

Epcot

Epcot is a project we do in sixth grade that teaches us more about other countries. We each pick a different country and do research in different areas. We learn about food, clothing, culture, history, and many other things.
The country I chose was Honduras because Jenna has been there twice and so she new a lot about it and had many objects from there. I had lots of fun doing it and I really learned a lot.

This is me with my cousin Casey in Taylor's cabin. Camp is always something to look forward to in the summer. At camp we play sports do arts and crafts take hikes,and even have a shaving cream fight!!!!!! This year sinse it rained we had a mud fight and watched a movie in the mess hall. I love Camp Tahkodah and can't wait till next year!!!!!!!

Crocodile Dock VBS 2009

This years theme for VBS was Crockodile Dock! Dad was in New York at a photography convention during VBS wich was sad but it was still fun. This was my last year to be a kid so next year i'll be a helper. We do a big VBS with four other churches in Searcy,so there is a lot of people there. It is always alot of fun and I can't wait till next year!!! This is our yearly VBS picture in the auditorium.

The Gateway Arch

Over Spring break our family,except for Jenna who was in Honduras-went to St. Louis.
In St. Louis we we went to the Gateway Arch, the Magic House, and we went to the zoo.
It was really cold there. The Arch was way biggger than I thought it was,The magic house was a great childrens museum,and the zoo was huge! My camera had a problem with the lense right before we left for the trip so if I wanted to take a picture I had to use my phone wich made it harder to take pictures. This is the picture mom took of us inside the arch.

This is our family looking out the arch. The ride up in the arch wasn't our favorite part because it was not that big of a space and it was a little shakey. Once we got to the top it was great. Mom said she could feel the arch swaying. It was a great trip.

This year during Bisons for Christ our family's job was to help set out the food for the workers that were coming to the building after doing their job. For some of the kids that meant playing on the playground while their parents work. This is our friend Anna playing on the playground.

Space Camp

Space Camp is so much fun! The 5th graders from Harding go to Space Camp in Huntsville,Alambama. Many other schools were there from all over. Dad was chosen as a chaperone and called the five boys he was in charge of his homies. Space Camp was so fun! We all learned a lot,played games about what we learned, and rode some rides and simulaters. One of the most fun games was Gemini tag where you link arms with another person and when someone links arms with you the person on the other side of you runs and links arms with someone else. That was just one of the games we played. It was so fun to be with the 5th graders, teachers, and parents and not have to be consentrated on school. The girls slept in HabitatII with was one big room with bunk-beds and a big bathroom. But I don know what the boys room looked like. Space Camp was soooooooooooo fun!!!

On New Years we ate at the propshop.There are many Disney props in that building. The kids were done eating before the adults,so the kids started to play Duck,Duck,goose. First, one of our guides, Sam played first. Then,one of our other guides,Kat filled in for Sam. Then They Got tired of playingduck,duck,goose, so they played horse and got on someones back. This year was the first year we saw the Disney Faries. First they got all of the autograph books each of the three faries there got one autographbooks and they raced to see who could sign first. They were very funny I hope we will see them next year too.

Dad has a pair of red Santa glasses. When Josie saw them she decided that she wanted some too. Josie isn't tall enough to see herself in the mirror above the sink so she used the full length mirror instead.

Christmas Day

Both of the boys got a DS lite from Santa. Jenna got money for a camera and a Talor Swift CD,I got a red Nikon camera and a Vera Bradley purse,Jackson got a new watch and a Nintendo DS Lite,Jalen got a new watch and a DS too,Josie got mini texters and a new baby doll. We also got smaller gifts and candy,those were the big things. Everyone was excited about their presents from Santa.

I took this picture with my new camera on the Kilamanjaro Safari. On this ride you see many wild animals such as lions,hippos,giraffes,zebras,rhinos,elephants,and others I have never heard of. The lady making sure we got on safley saw my Dad with a camera and she told us the back was the best for taking pictures. Dad took alot of good pictures but,I had a hard time because the road we were on was bumpy and my camera was taking to long to focus. This is an elephant we saw on the ride.

Illuminations are the best fireworks in Disney. There is a big spinning globe and loud, bright fireworks. They are in Epcot every year and they are always great.

On Thursday after kids stage we went to get flu shots. I passed out after I got mine! Then we went to the football game. Leigh moved to Little Rock last year, but she comes to visit. Kenzie, Leigh, Julia, and I sat together. Julia was taking the picture, to my left is Leigh and to the right is Kenzie.

Every year we have Truck or Treat at church. I wasn't anything this year so I handed out candy and toys for a lady that was working in the kitchen. It was a lot of fun!

On Sunday afternoon after Ashley left Mom had to take Jenna up to church for Bible Bowl practice. They came back in the door, and Jenna was holding a kitten. The kittie had been crossing the road, but its eyes were still shut. We called jen and Charlie and they told us what to do. so we got a warm wash cloth and cleanedn up his eyes. The next morning we were going to take him to a vet. I had chorus practice until five and when I came home Mom said that the kittie had jumped out of the box while we werre at school. We didn't mean to but we left the tuna out on the porch and the next morning it was gone. We had a lot of fun with our kittie.

Silver Dollar City

We went to Silver Dollar City with the Turners. The Turners hadn't been there since 2003. They went with us there first time and they came with us the second time with us too. We spent the night on Friday and went to the parks on Saturday morning. We swam and got in the hot tub. This is Ellie and me riding the butterflies.
